Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Part Time Security Officer in Wilmington, DE. You will support government transportation sites by controlling access, verifying credentials, and delivering excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors.

The role emphasizes flexible scheduling, shift-based hours, and the use of smart tools to claim additional shifts. A background check and drug screen are required where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures at a government transportation location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorized entry, maintain visitor records, and report access-control concerns.
• Respond to incidents and security concerns in a calm, professional manner and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas to identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports and communicate with site personnel and responding agencies.
