Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Access Control Security Officer in Santa Fe Springs, CA. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor and vehicle access, and support a secure environment for site operations.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, 2+ years security experience, and compliance with background checks and drug screening. Flexible part-time schedule available on Thur/Fri/Sat shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a minimum of 2 years security-related experience are required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screen are required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide security and customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors.
• Monitor and control access points; verify credentials and maintain access records.
• Observe traffic and restricted areas; report suspicious activity and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow site procedures, communicating with leadership or responders.
• Conduct regular patrols of facilities and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
