Allied Universal, a leading security services company, seeks a Part-Time Security Officer for Access Control Turnstile Operations in Santa Fe Springs, CA. The role involves managing entry points, verifying credentials, and maintaining logs within a fast-paced logistics setting.

The position offers a part-time schedule with a $19.00/hour pay rate. Candidates should have at least 2 years of security experience and ensure compliance with background checks, licensing, and drug-screen requirements.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience are preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor and driver logs, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
