Job summary

Bowhead seeks a Part-Time Access Control Officer to support the Access Control Support Services Contract for the Cyber Protection Brigade and the 11th Cyber Warfare Battalion at Ft. Eisenhower, GA.

The role involves controlling access, conducting inspections, and issuing visitor badges in accordance with SOPs. A Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required, with availability on holidays and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least two years of experience as an Access Control Officer or equivalent security experience.
• Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently.
• Ability to produce clear, concise security reports.
• Experience in protecting personnel, facilities and equipment.
• Able to train on SMS to operate ICIDS alarms, CCTV and access control features.
• Able to train on Government-purchased X-ray device and Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS).
• Proficient with office software (word processing, email, spreadsheets, presentations).

Responsibilities

• Control access of personnel, equipment and media entering and leaving controlled spaces.
• Execute entry/exit program requirements per SOP.
• Inspect bags and related items to prevent prohibited items.
• Verify badges for access to facilities.
• Verify visitor security access using DISS or NBIS.
• Provide escort support to uncleared personnel.
• Issue appropriate visitor badges.
• Deny access of unauthorized PEDs and report violations.
• Support RAMS inspections and log findings.
• Operate CDX-series locks, ICIDS alarms and document activities per SOP.
• Monitor ICIDS alarms and notify authorities as required.
• Document and report security-related activities to the security officer and military police.
• Complete mandatory security awareness and safety training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
