Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer - Access Authorization in Chester, VA. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and assist staff and visitors while delivering strong customer service in a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Guard Card/License preferred.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation will be conducted in line with applicable laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel through access control procedures.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify IDs, log visitors, and control access to restricted areas.
• Respond calmly to access-related incidents and escalate as needed.
• Perform regular patrols of access points and exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Document incidents and access activities promptly in reports.
