Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Chantilly, VA. You will help manage site entry, verify badges, monitor areas, and conduct routine patrols while delivering excellent customer service.

The role emphasizes flexible scheduling, use of our Shift platform, and a focus on safety and community protection. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and background/drug screens apply.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor and contractor access, and maintain accurate access records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, loading areas, parking locations, and the perimeter, to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged access points, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
