Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Access Control in Hurlock, MD. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, and provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while maintaining safety and security across a food/beverage production site.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and regulations; may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points; verify identification and visitor authorization; maintain access logs.
• Screen deliveries and coordinate access for authorized drivers and vendors; report unusual activity to management.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly following escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points, parking areas, and interior/exterior areas to deter unauthorized access.
