Job summary

Allied Universal in San Pedro, CA is seeking a part-time Security Officer for Access Credential Review to safeguard client sites and contribute to safe operations. You’ll monitor entry points, verify access, and provide professional customer service while supporting site security procedures.

The role offers flexible day/evening shifts, a focus on compliance, and opportunities to grow through training and our shift-claim platform.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old (21+ for armed roles).
• Background investigation and drug screen may be required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees per site procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; manage entry for visitors/contractors.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access at gates and docks; document access records.
• Respond calmly to incidents and notify site contacts or responders when needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas and report unusual conditions.
