Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Badge Verification in Monroe, MI to help manage site access, verify credentials, and maintain a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role emphasizes security awareness and customer service on an industrial site.

You will use computer or tablet systems to document activities and respond to incidents, with patrols and access control duties integral to daily operations.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, maintain visitor logs, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established security-related procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and access control exceptions accurately and promptly in accordance with site requirements.
