Job summary

Allied Universal in Chester, VA is seeking a Part Time Security Officer specialized in badge administration to protect facilities and assets. You will manage access points, verify credentials, and monitor visitor activity while delivering professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain entry logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues through established communication channels as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and access-control activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
