Job summary

Terrapin House, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Behavioral Support Professional to help a young adult with autism learn new skills, communicate effectively, and participate in community activities. This hands-on role applies ABA and Positive Behavior Support in real-life settings.

Evening shifts 4:30 PM–9:00 PM and weekends available; pay $28–$35 per hour based on education and experience. Competitive salary and flexible schedule are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or training in ABA, Psychology, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with autism and developmental disabilities is desirable.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Hands-on experience applying ABA and PBS in daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Use behavioral knowledge to help the person learn, communicate, participate, and gain independence.
• Implement ABA and Positive Behavior Support strategies.
• Follow an individualized Behavior Support Plan.
• Teach and reinforce communication, social, functional, and daily living skills.
• Support skill acquisition and independence.
• Collaborate with family and other team members.
• Collect observations and share outcomes with the team.
• Provide personal care with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) when needed.
