Brown Technologies, Inc. in Huntsville, Alabama, is seeking a part-time Audio/Visual & Low-Voltage Technician Trainee to work with lead technicians on commercial installations.

The role offers fixed weekly hours (10) and a clear path to a full-time technician position, with wage progression from $10 to $14 per hour as credentials are earned. Candidates must reside in a HUBZone, be 18+, able to lift 50 lbs, and hold a valid US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Must reside in a HUBZone-designated area.
• Able to work a fixed 10-hour weekly schedule.
• Authorized to work in the United States; BTI participates in E-Verify.
• Must be 18+ years old and able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Pull, dress, terminate, and test low-voltage cable (Cat6/6A, fiber, speaker, control) under the direction of a lead technician.
• Assemble and wire equipment racks; mount displays, speakers, cameras, and control panels.
• Label cables and equipment and produce as-built documentation.
• Stage, inventory, and load equipment for installations; maintain the shop and tool inventory.
• Support site surveys by measuring, photographing, and documenting existing conditions.
• Follow BTI and customer safety procedures at all times, including ladder and lift safety.
• Complete assigned tasks from the A/V work queue and submit the weekly work log.
