Job summary

Brown Technologies, Inc. is seeking two to three dependable part-time Low-Voltage Installers to support residential and light commercial projects in the Huntsville area. No prior experience is required; candidates will be trained on lighting, cabling, and AV work, with on-site mentoring.

Expect a flexible daytime schedule (approximately 10–15 hours per week) and pay starting at $10–$12 per hour, with potential step-ups after 90 days based on attendance and demonstrated competence.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Comfortable on ladders, in attics and crawlspaces.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Dig and bury low-voltage cable along beds, walkways and driveways.
• Set and level light fixtures according to plan.
• Assist with mounting and wiring transformers.
• Assist with evening visits (occasional after-dark work).
• Pull Cat6 and other low-voltage cable through walls, ceilings, attics and crawlspaces.
• Terminate jacks, keystones and patch panels; keep racks organized.
• Mount AV displays, speakers and equipment; run AV wiring.
