Job summary

Grundy Center Community School District is seeking a part-time (.5 FTE) 5-12 School Counselor to support students at Grundy Center Middle School and Grundy Center High School. The role offers a flexible half-days schedule and immediate start.

The counselor will implement an ASCA-aligned program, provide individual and group counseling, coordinate 504 plans, and collaborate with staff, families, and community partners to promote academic, career, and social-emotional development.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in School Counseling or related field.
• Professional Service License for School Counselor K-8 (172) or 5-12 (173).
• Experience as a school counselor preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling aligned with ASCA Mindsets & Behaviors.
• Deliver guidance curriculum and academic/career planning.
• Coordinate 504 plans and participate in IEP/504 meetings.
• Monitor student progress and develop interventions.
• Lead a comprehensive school counseling program and use data for improvement.
