Part-time 3:00-11:00 PM Registered Nurse
Westtown School seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to work part-time in our Upper School Student Wellness Center. The part-time nurse will work from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM on a rotating schedule of three days one week (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) and two days the following week (Wednesday and Friday). Some additional shifts may be available. This is an academic year position starting immediately and continuing through early June. As a member of our dynamic team of healthcare professionals, the part-time nurse will oversee and respond to the medical needs of our Upper School boarding and day students in the afternoons and evenings.

Provides quality medical care and first aid to students;
Arranges, distributes and administers medications, as necessary;
Documents and maintains student health records;
Maintains school medical supplies;
Accurately documents all activities and procedures promptly;
Serves as a resource for students' physical and mental health concerns;
Provides timely communication regarding student healthcare to parents, the Dean of Students, Dorm Parents, advisers, and others as needed.
Qualifications
A minimum of 1-3 years of medical-surgical experience
Current CPR certification
Prior school nurse experience is preferred, preferably in an independent school environment
The desire to work with high school students
Excellent clinical judgment and the ability to respond to urgent situations calmly and efficiently
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Excellent initiative and follow-through
Diplomacy, tact, and discretion with confidential information
A team-oriented spirit and the ability to connect meaningfully with students throughout our diverse community.
