Chapter One is seeking an Early Literacy Interventionist for the 2026-2027 school year in Racine, WI. This part-time role delivers 1:1 reading support to young students using Chapter One's structured model.

A Bachelor's degree is required; reliable transportation and the ability to work onsite Monday through Friday are essential. Candidates should have intermediate technology skills (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail) and strong interpersonal, oral and written communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution.
Experience using word processing, email, internet searches and data organization.
Proficient with Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and Gmail.
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Must have reliable transportation and be able to work onsite Monday–Friday; background checks required.

Responsibilities

Monitor student progress with Chapter One tools and assessments.
Deliver personalized 1:1 reading instruction using Chapter One's model.
Document each tutoring session in Chapter One's platform.
Assign new practice activities during sessions.
Challenge students to reach goals and celebrate progress.
Maintain ongoing communication with managers, instructors, and literacy coaches.
Provide basic technology support for handheld devices used in practice.
Analyze student performance data to inform instruction.
