Job summary

The Stark County Park District is seeking a full time Crew Worker to join our Maintenance & Construction team. You’ll help build and maintain parks and trails across an 8000+ acre system in Stark County, outdoors and in varying weather. The role includes lawn, trail, and custodial tasks, plus customer service to park patrons.

Must be 18+, have a valid driver’s license, and enjoy working as part of a team. Pay is $15.00 per hour; pre-employment checks apply.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older; high school diploma preferred but not required.
Valid driver’s license required.
Experience with lawn/grounds equipment is preferred but not mandatory.
Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work and lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work independently or as part of a crew with safety awareness.

Responsibilities

Performs lawn maintenance using a variety of equipment and trims grass, trees, and bushes.
Maintains trails and performs custodial duties at park sites as needed.
Operates small to large equipment (e.g., chipper, mower, chainsaw) in crews.
Assists with trash removal, restocking, and cleaning park facilities.
Interacts with park patrons and handles concerns professionally.
All other duties as assigned.
