Job summary

Hunter Contracting Co. is seeking a skilled project coordinator/controls professional to help manage Parks and Recreation construction projects from award to completion. You will collaborate with estimators and superintendents to ensure on-time delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality results for public works in Arizona.

The role requires strong Excel/Primavera skills, reading plans, and effective communication. Occasional travel and extended hours may be needed to meet project milestones.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, Primavera Suretrak, and Prolog.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and contracts.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update project schedules.
• Coordinate weekly scheduling meetings and distribute minutes.
• Review job costs, quantities, and investigate discrepancies.
• Audit timecards, equipment usage, and field receipts.
• Track material quantities, yields, and resolve variances.
• Prepare daily cost and production reports.
• Draft project correspondence and documentation.
• Review project plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Prepare and track submittals and project documentation.
• Obtain required permits and approvals.
• Develop construction schedules and cash flow reports.
• Process change orders, force accounts, and back charges.
• Assist with project closeout, as-builts, and job cost history.
• Conduct regular site visits and support estimating through takeoffs.
