Job summary

You will coordinate budgets, contracts, and communications, and act as liaison to the Parks & Recreation Advisory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation or related field.
• Five years of progressive supervisory experience in Parks & Recreation.
• US citizen or eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass background check and drug test.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of District parks, recreation facilities, facility rentals, parking operations, programs, and events.
• Monitors revenue through rentals, memberships, programs, events, and services; ensures goals are met.
• Manages recreation facilities openings, closings, inspections, and customer service duties.
• Develops and enforces policies including risk management, safety, and SOPs.
• Conducts interviews, hiring, coaching, and performance evaluations per policy.
• Plans work schedules, expedites workflow, and improves efficiency.
• Oversees budgeted funds, personnel, materials, and capital projects with deadlines.
• Liaises with PRAC, coordinates updates, and communicates actions to leadership.
• Prepares monthly reports and manages documentation of department activities.
• Coordinates with recreation staff, Public Works, and contractors; handles public inquiries.
