Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED with one year of manual labor experience.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Florida Class B CDL with air brakes and N endorsement within six months.
• Ability to operate basic hand tools and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conducts routine repairs and maintenance on irrigation systems.
• Forms and pours sidewalks and performs street repairs.
• Keeps city facilities clean and conducts facility checks at Parks and Recreation locations.
• Performs waxing and floor stripping at recreation sites.
• Loads/unloads trucks and transports materials for crews.
• Maintains inventory for Parks and Recreation warehouse bays.
• Digs, levels, and spreads fill, rock, sand, gravel, and soil.
• Plants and trims trees and shrubs; maintains fields.
