Job summary

Danville Parks is seeking a dedicated facilities maintenance and cleaning assistant. The role involves performing routine janitorial cleaning, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and assisting with special projects under the direction of Danville Parks management staff.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 18, and possess basic math skills along with knowledge of cleaning principles. Training on department procedures will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Working knowledge of general cleaning principles and practices.
• Ability to learn proper use of Department equipment.
• Ability to follow Town and Department policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine janitorial cleaning and maintenance for designated facilities.
• Maintain facilities in a clean, sanitary, and safe condition.
• Assist with special-projects cleaning.
• Operate and care for department cleaning tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Work well in a team and with limited supervision.
• Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
