Job summary

The Town of Apex seeks a Parks Operations Logistics Specialist to perform clerical, purchasing, inventory and warehouse duties at Apex Nature Park. This part-time role requires detail-oriented, organized candidates with accuracy in record-keeping and strong communication skills to support the Park Operations Division.

Responsibilities include stocking and inventorying materials, receiving orders, loading/unloading shipments, and maintaining records for budget input.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school and some experience in inventory control, warehousing or related operations.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintains computerized inventory of materials and supplies in the warehouse; checks materials out to employees and records account numbers.
• Operates computer for inventory and warehouse tasks, including reorder forms and inventory withdrawals.
• Keeps materials and equipment in proper order and restocks inventory in storage areas.
• Assists in pulling materials listed on work orders and records withdrawals.
• Keeps accurate records of uniforms, signage, and other park-related items using Cityworks Storeroom.
• Establishes relationships with vendors to restock inventory as needed.
• Keeps track of storage locations and quantities of incoming and outgoing inventory.
• Performs periodic physical inventory and processes deliveries to the Purchasing Department warehouse.
