Job summary

The Town of Apex is seeking a Park Operations Team Leader to guide a maintenance crew responsible for buildings, grounds, and facilities, including playgrounds and pools. You will assign work, train staff, ensure quality, and manage safety standards.

Reporting to the Parks Operations Supervisor, this role conducts inspections, handles equipment, and supports hiring decisions while maintaining records and coordinating with other teams. A strong work ethic and certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED and 3+ years of related experience.
• Possession of a valid North Carolina driver's license.
• CPR, AED and First Aid Certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Leads team with work assignments, coaching, training, and orientation of new staff.
• Maintains facilities, playgrounds, pools, fields and trails per standards.
• Performs daily work orders, safety checks and input into hiring decisions.
• Operates equipment safely and completes tasks with supervision as needed.
• Keeps accurate records of work orders and payroll related items.
