Lower Colorado River Authority is seeking a Parks Operations Coordinator Sr for McKinney Roughs Park in Cedar Creek. The role emphasizes safe, clean, hospitable, and efficient park operations with custodial, maintenance, and groundskeeping duties to uphold park standards.

The senior team member will lead safety practices, assist with event logistics, maintain equipment, and may operate a truck for transporting gear. LCRA Parks aims to deliver outstanding park experiences.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience in carpentry, plumbing, facility maintenance, landscaping or construction.
• Class A Texas commercial driver's license

Responsibilities

• Groundskeeping including planting, watering, mowing, weed eating, vegetation control, picking up litter and emptying recycling/trash receptacle duties.
• Clean on-site facilities (restrooms, offices, classrooms, cabins, fish cleaning stations, fee booths, pavilions, porches, eating areas, fire rings and grills and, as needed, dormitories) according to established standards.
• Routine maintenance including painting, changing AC filters and light bulbs, minor carpentry and plumbing repairs.
• Be a safety leader with day-to-day guidance and training for less experienced team members, temporary workers, park host volunteers and other volunteers.
• Assist with event logistics including setup and takedown of events, shuttling visitors, delivering supplies, transport of equipment and providing parking instructions.
• Maintain and repair park equipment and tools, perform daily inspections of vehicles and maintain records.
• May operate truck requiring a commercial driver’s license when transporting equipment such as back-hoes on a trailer.

LCRA Parks is now hiring Parks Operations Coordinator Sr to serve our McKinney Roughs Park! We are seeking a senior team member who is passionate about delivering phenomenal park experiences by ensuring a safe, clean, hospitable, secure and efficient site at Cedar Creek. This position will uphold the standard of our parks at the highest level, by providing outstanding custodial, maintenance, and groundskeeping duties, to achieve LCRA Parks’ goal of being the most dynamic park system in the nation! How You’ll Contribute

• Groundskeeping including planting, watering, mowing, weed eating, vegetation control, picking up litter and emptying recycling/trash receptacle duties.
• Clean on-site facilities (restrooms, offices, classrooms, cabins, fish cleaning stations, fee booths, pavilions, porches, eating areas, fire rings and grills and, as needed, dormitories) according to established standards.
• Routine maintenance including painting, changing AC filters and light bulbs, minor carpentry and plumbing (e.g. leaks, sinks, toilet problems) repairs.
• Be a safety leader with day-to-day guidance and training, including safety policies and guidelines, to less experienced team members, temporary workers, park host volunteers and other volunteers.
• Assist with event logistics including set up and take down of events, shuttling visitors, delivering supplies, transport of equipment (e. g. rafts) and providing parking instructions.
• Maintain and repair park equipment and tools, performs daily inspections of vehicles and maintains records.
• May operate truck requiring a commercial driver’s license when transporting equipment such as back-hoes on a trailer.

How You’re Qualified

• Four or more years of experience in carpentry, plumbing, facility maintenance, landscaping or construction or relevant experience.
• Class A Texas commercial driver's license
