Job summary

City of Nampa is seeking a Parks Groundskeeper to perform turfgrass management, landscape maintenance, and park repairs across city properties. The role supports a Parks Supervisor, working Monday through Friday with a 8:00am–4:30pm schedule.

The position requires at least a high school diploma or GED, a valid Idaho Class B CDL with Tanker, and pesticide applicator licensing within 1 year. Benefits include medical, retirement plans, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Valid State of Idaho Class B Commercial Driver’s License with Tanker endorsement within 1 year of hire.
• State of Idaho Pesticide Applicator’s License with Core Competency and Ornamental Herbicide endorsement within 1 year of hire.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs turfgrass management, landscape construction, and grounds maintenance in an assigned area.
• Work with crew to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain and repair parks, pathways, and city properties.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment.
• Inspect park amenities and report issues.
• Learn irrigation systems and troubleshoot components.
• Collaborate with other departments and volunteers as needed.
