Job summary

City of Caldwell is seeking a Parks Maintenance II to perform outdoor maintenance of the city’s parks and related areas, including irrigation, landscaping, and facility upkeep. Responsibilities include operating power equipment, planting, mowing, trimming, and assisting with repairs, under the supervision of the parks superintendent.

Candidates must have at least three years' experience in landscaping and outdoor maintenance, a valid driver's license, and the ability to communicate in English;

Qualifications

• At least three years of landscaping/outdoor maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check.
• Ability to operate and maintain common park equipment safely.
• Proactive communicator with supervisor and team.

Responsibilities

• Plants, waters, fertilizes, mows, and maintains grass areas.
• Trims fence lines and drainage ditches; collects litter.
• Operates power equipment including mowers and chain saws.
• Performs basic repairs and helps with irrigation systems.
• Keeps records and informs supervisor of needed repairs.
• Sets up holiday lights and maintains facilities.
• Supervises seasonal temporary workers when assigned.
