Job summary

The City of Caldwell Parks Department is seeking four Seasonal Maintenance Specialist I to join the team for about 7-8 months, with a 40-hour work week from Monday through Thursday, 06:00AM to 4:30PM. This entry-level role performs outdoor maintenance of city parks, buildings, and related areas under supervision.

Responsibilities include planting, mowing, trimming, litter collection, operation of power equipment, basic repairs, and seasonal displays.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of work experience involving landscaping, mowing, operating sprinkler systems, and outdoor maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Plants trees, bushes, a variety of other plants, and grass.
• Mows, waters, and rakes grass.
• Trims fence lines and the banks of drainage ditches.
• Collects litter and debris.
• Empties park garbage cans and hauls waste to the parks dumpster.
• Operates hand tools and power equipment (chain saws, edgers, weed eaters, mowers).
• Informs supervisor of repairs and maintenance needs.
• Cleans and weeds flower beds and waters.
