Job summary

City Of Atlanta Careers seeks a Park District Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate maintenance for parks, greenspaces, and facilities. The role oversees a 20–30 person crew and contractors, planning preventive maintenance and ensuring safety and productivity across City facilities in Atlanta.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 3 years in landscape-related fields, and at least 2 years of supervisory experience, with certifications such as CDL and pesticide licensure desirable.

Qualifications

3 years' progressively responsible experience in landscaping, natural area maintenance, horticulture, arboriculture, facilities maintenance, or related field.
Two years minimum Supervisory experience.
Certifications such as CDL, pesticide licensure or safety-related certs are desirable.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement routine, scheduled, and preventive maintenance programs for parks, greenspaces, amenities, and facilities.
Prepare and maintain maintenance records, statistics, and reports.
Assists with budget estimates and writing project specifications (labor, materials, overhead).
Inspect facilities and sites for safety hazards and compliance with standards.
Screen and hire applicants; oversee promotions, transfers, or dismissals.
