Job summary

City of Folsom's Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily park maintenance operations, supervise staff and contractors, and ensure safe, attractive parks, trails, playgrounds and fields for residents.

Under the Facilities Maintenance Manager, you will plan workloads, monitor budgets, prepare reports, coordinate with other city departments, respond to emergencies, and lead a proactive, safety-conscious team committed to quality public spaces.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in parks or public-works maintenance
• Supervisory experience in municipal or government setting
• Knowledge of sports-turf, irrigation, tree care, playground safety, safety requirements

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance staff by scheduling workloads, training staff, and ensuring SOPs.
• Monitor operations in assigned sections, inspect projects, and coordinate with contractors.
• Prepare budget input, track expenditures, and develop reports.
