Job summary

City of Victoria TX is seeking a Parks Maintenance Worker III with a valid driver’s license to perform a range of park and facilities duties across athletic fields and playgrounds. You will lead crew members, operate heavy equipment, and handle basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tasks as needed.

The role supports mowing, irrigation, trash removal, and event setup, while focusing on safety and efficient maintenance. CDL may be required for certain tasks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety regulations and chemical handling.
• Experience in maintaining public spaces and athletic fields.
• Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong teamwork, customer service, and public interaction.
• Valid driver's license with CDL if required for tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead team in park equipment operation and repairs.
• Operate heavy equipment and perform basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tasks.
• Maintain athletic fields, mow, trim trees, and manage irrigation.
• Assist with park improvements and event setup.
• Ensure safety and proper storage of tools and supplies.
