The City of Ardmore is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Worker to operate light construction and grounds equipment. You will perform landscaping, ditch cleaning, weed control, mowing, and related duties in city parks, pools, and fields.

You will handle loading, hauling, spraying chemicals, and assist with the upkeep of recreational facilities while ensuring public safety and timely responses to inquiries. Must have HS diploma or GED and a valid driver's license; pesticide applicator license is

Formación

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Two years of maintenance work with operation of light to moderate equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Operate construction and maintenance equipment for city operations.
• Clean debris from ditches, culverts, and beds; haul trash and debris.
• Maintain city parks and recreational areas (pools, courts, fields).
• Respond to public inquiries courteously and provide information.
• Maintain and repair equipment used in parks and facilities.
• Safely mix and apply chemicals for spraying (insecticides/herbicides).
• Operate handheld equipment (trimmers, blowers, edgers).
• Be responsible for safety of self, crew, and public.
• Other duties as assigned.
