Job summary

The City of Aurora is seeking an Irrigation Specialist to design, install, repair and maintain irrigation systems across parks and facilities in Aurora. You may lead a crew and ensure timely completion of projects while keeping accurate operation records.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, 2+ years maintenance and 1+ year irrigation experience, CDL within 6 months, and progress toward required certifications within 12 months. On-site work with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in maintenance; 1+ year irrigation experience.
• Experience with mainline, lateral repairs and electrical components.
• CDL with endorsements required within 6 months.
• Certifications listed within 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled irrigation maintenance and repairs.
• Repair PVC pipes from 1/2" to 6" and handle related electrical work.
• Operate central irrigation controls and monitor systems.
• Assist in training staff and input bids for purchasing.
