Job summary

The City of Westminster, CO is seeking a skilled laborer to support irrigation and parks maintenance efforts across city facilities. You will operate a variety of light and heavy equipment, perform construction-related tasks, and help maintain irrigation systems and schedules.

Applicants must have at least two years of landscape/irrigation maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read construction documents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of landscape/irrigation maintenance experience preferred.
• Must be able to read construction documents and maintain schedules.
• Ability to operate a wide range of light and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Irrigation-specific duties including managing a complex irrigation system network and maintenance schedules.
• Operate heavy and light equipment such as backhoes, dump trucks, trenchers, mowers, and attachments.
• Perform painting, plumbing, carpentry, irrigation upgrades, welding and other related construction tasks.
• Supervise and train seasonal employees in safe and efficient equipment operation.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance; flexible scheduling and on-call duties as needed.
