Job summary

The City of Aurora is seeking Parks Workers to maintain parks, athletic fields, and facilities, with opportunities to learn agronomic practices and obtain CDL training through our internal academy.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: 12 months of manual labor.
• Preferred: landscape/park maintenance, irrigation, or ballfield maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs unskilled or semi-skilled maintenance and/or operational activities in parks or in assigned areas of responsibility.
• Maintains grounds and facilities.
• Performs parks and sports field maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, fertilization, spraying, field preparation, landscaping, agronomic practices, and irrigation repair.
• Operates minor repair of equipment infrastructure, tools, and related items.
• Assists with landscape and maintenance duties including trimming, edging, mowing, weeding, trash removal, and planting.
