The role reports to a Groundskeeper Supervisor and involves operating basic equipment and city vehicles, with potential weekend or after-hours shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and some related experience in groundskeeping, turf maintenance, landscaping, or related area.
• At least 2 years of related experience in groundskeeping, turf maintenance, landscaping, or related area.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Maintains parks, schools, downtown mall, right-of-way, and/or recreational facilities through mowing, weeding, planting, mulching, and tree care.
• Operates city vehicle and maintains basic equipment used in maintenance and construction projects.
• Follows safety regulations and reports issues to supervisor.
• May work weekends, nights, holidays, or be called back during weather or emergencies.
