Job summary

Bernalillo County is seeking a Groundskeeper in Albuquerque, NM, within the Community Services - Parks, Recreation & Open Space Management department. You will perform weed and litter control, maintain County facilities, and operate equipment such as push mowers, sickle mowers, and sprayers.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of grounds keeping or related experience, plus a valid New Mexico driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of work experience in grounds keeping, landscaping, or general maintenance.
• Possession of a valid New Mexico driver’s license by hire date and maintenance of license during employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains County facilities by pulling or cutting weeds from tree wells and open areas.
• Removes all trash and other debris from County maintained properties.
• Operates power equipment such as push mower, sickle mower, and sprayer.
• Assists in spraying of weeds, applying fertilizers, and trimming shrubs.
