Job summary

Pueblo of Sandia is seeking a hands-on Grounds and Landscape Associate to maintain gardens, fields, and village areas in Albuquerque, NM. You will plant, weed, mow, irrigate, prune, fertilize, and manage debris while supporting community farming and orchard activities.

You will operate heavy power equipment, install and maintain irrigation systems, and repair fences. Responsibilities include bale wagon support, seasonal prep, and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of landscape layout and maintenance fundamentals.
• Ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment used in grounds work.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and use PPE.
• Experience with irrigation and fencing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic landscape maintenance: planting, mowing, pruning, fertilizing, and spraying.
• Operate and repair power equipment and irrigation systems as needed.
• Maintain fences and install new ones; manage barn and farm areas.
• Support bison range duties, hay handling, and animal care tasks.
