Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation, Horticulture, Agronomy, Arboriculture, Business Management, Public Administration, or related field.
• Three years of experience in parks, grounds, landscape design, maintenance, or related field.
• Two years of supervisory experience.
• Combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Must obtain Pesticide Applicator's License within six months of employment.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and CDL or must obtain CDL within 90 days.
• Position is safety sensitive and subject to substance abuse testing.
• Must pass a background check prior to offer of employment or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and direct a comprehensive maintenance approach for parks, grounds, and facilities.
• Supervise Team Leaders and front-line workers to ensure safe, high-quality park operations.
• Work under general supervision while determining how/when to complete tasks and coordinating with Parks Administrator.
