Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid Texas driver's license.
• Knowledge and experience in the use of lawn care equipment.
• Available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean parks, recreational grounds, and other City property.
• Inspect facilities, identify and report hazards or safety concerns, injuries or damage to property.
• Mow and trim vegetation using various manual and power equipment.
• Perform turf maintenance, dirt work, lining, base setting, and cleaning of athletic fields.
• Remove and dispose of debris from parks and other City property.
• Maintain and repair playgrounds and park structures.
• Clean and maintain city buildings, restrooms and equipment.
• Perform some horticulture work with flowers, trees, and shrubs.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on vehicles and equipment; report malfunctions.
