Job summary

City of Sierra Vista is seeking a Park Maintenance worker to care for City sports fields, parks, and surroundings. You will perform landscaping, irrigation, and routine maintenance, ensuring safe, attractive public spaces for residents and visitors.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, one year of general maintenance experience, and a valid Arizona driver’s license. Pesticide applicator certification must be obtained within one year of hire, with weekend and on-call availability

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of general maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license required.
• Arizona Pesticide Applicator License (Right of Way/Weed) within 1 year of hire.
• Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Park maintenance/landscaping experience highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Prunes trees, trims shrubs, mows, and edges.
• Maintain landscapes, municipal facilities, and sports fields.
• Assist with irrigation, repairs to systems, fencing, and repairs.
• Support special events and perform equipment maintenance.
