City of Auburn Hills is seeking a part-time Laborer for Parks & Grounds to perform park maintenance, cleaning and facility upkeep. The role involves outdoor manual labor, operating basic tools, weed and turf care, and assisting with events and park operations.

Shifts are typically 7:00am–1:00pm, with occasional 3:00pm–9:00pm or weekend hours based on daylight and seasonal needs. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to work in all weather, and proficient basic computer

Formación

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
• Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather.
• Computer skills: email, form entry and viewing schedules.
• Good verbal and written communication; ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Responsabilidades

• Remove trash, litter and debris.
• Weed, mow, trim and maintain turfgrass and ornamental beds.
• Service park restrooms, pavilions, gazebos, playgrounds and equipment.
• Move, repair and clean tables, benches and other park amenities.
• Perform trail maintenance and field maintenance tasks.
• Lock/unlock gates and facilities; snow removal as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
