Job summary

Dane County Land and Water Resources in Madison, WI is seeking a Limited Term Employee (LTE) for the Parks Maintenance Crew II to perform a variety of grounds and facility tasks at Dane County Parks. The role requires operating large equipment, maintenance duties, and public assistance in outdoor settings.

Applicants should be at least 18, hold a Class A CDL, and be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• CDL holders must be registered in the US DOT Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

• Grounds maintenance such as mowing, trimming, planting, mulching, trail maintenance and snow removal.
• Facility repair and maintenance such as cleaning, painting and assisting with building repairs.
• Operate and maintain commercial mowers, trimmers, light and heavy-duty vehicles and trailers, skid-steers and larger loaders.
• Provide information and assistance to the public in the field.
