Job summary

Carroll County Government is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Hashawha Environmental Center to perform groundskeeping, janitorial, and maintenance tasks. Reports to the Park Maintenance Supervisor and supports multiple county facilities with a focus on safety and accessibility.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year of related experience, and a valid driver's license. Willingness to obtain required certifications and potentially work evenings or weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a full range of construction and grounds maintenance equipment.
• Perform daily janitorial and cleaning services; maintain grounds and facilities.
• Complete skilled construction and renovation projects; handle electrical, carpentry, concrete, painting, and plumbing tasks.
• Prepare facilities for events; assist with parking and event setup.
• Assist with snow removal and storm damage response.
