Job summary

City of Auburn (AL) seeks a Parks and Facilities Administrator to manage park and athletic facilities operations. Reports to the Parks and Recreation Assistant Director.

The role involves supervising maintenance, custodial services, tool/equipment management, and budget monitoring for the department. Requires relevant education and 3–5 years’ experience, with certifications to be obtained within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 3–5 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a state-certified Commercial Pesticide Applicator's License within six months of employment.
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license; CPR/First Aid certification within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, and implements the maintenance of city athletic facilities, cemeteries, and parks.
• Oversees the maintenance and custodial services of community centers, athletics, other facilities.
• Oversees the acquisition, maintenance, and operation of tools and equipment.
• Recommends and monitors budgets.
• Exercises direct supervision over assigned personnel.
• Performs other related job duties as assigned.
