Job summary

The City of Auburn (AL) is seeking a student to assist the Parks and Recreation Department with planning, promoting, and implementing programs and events. The role reports to the supervisor of the assigned event/program and supports administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Parks and Recreation, Public Administration, Communication, Education, or a closely related field.
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, promoting, and implementing department events and programs.
• Assist with new program/event development.
• Perform various administrative duties.
• Carry out additional related tasks as assigned.
