Job summary

City of Hopewell is seeking a senior administrator to oversee maintenance operations for all department facilities, parks, playgrounds, and public recreation areas. You will supervise maintenance staff, conduct safety inspections, and manage contracts and fleet assets to ensure reliable operations.

The role involves budgeting, coordinating with schools and city departments, and supporting special projects. Evening/weekend work and emergency activation may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in recreation management, maintenance management, business administration, or related field.
• Five years of increasingly responsible professional administrative experience in recreation and/or parks and facilities management, including three years of administrative and supervisory experience.
• Two years of experience in project management, playground development, and facility oversight.
• Two years of experience with trailers, forklifts, backhoes, message boards, light towers, and generators.
