Job summary

Sacbar is seeking a Parks Program Coordinator to help research, coordinate, implement, and evaluate park programs and events in the San Jose area. You will work within the Park and Recreation Department to advance the Cultural Resources Program and engage with Native American Tribes and diverse communities.

You will plan, organize, coordinate, and evaluate programs, while coordinating staff, volunteers, and partners, and supporting budget and procurement tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; two years coordinating or leading programs, projects, or large events.
• One year of specialized program experience required; field experience in archaeology/history preferred.
• Ability to manage data and collections produced by preservation/research efforts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and facilitating park operations and maintenance.
• Coordinate with partners, volunteers, staff, contractors, licensees, and lease-holders.
• Develop and implement park programs, events, and community outreach activities.
