Job summary

Clearfield City is seeking a Parks Maintenance Worker to perform a broad range of field supervisory and skilled duties across parks, cemetery, open spaces, and facilities. You will operate lawn equipment, assist in pruning, planting, and sprinkler system work under supervision and coordinate with seasonal staff.

The role requires a two-year training in landscaping or related field, plus one year of maintenance experience; certification as Utah Pesticide Applicator within four months and a valid

Qualifications

• Two-year academic or specialized training in landscaping, water management, irrigation systems and management; (bachelor's degree preferred).
• One year of progressively responsible experience in maintenance of turf, parks, facilities, etc.
• Must be certified or able to obtain Utah Pesticide Applicator certification within four months.
• Must possess a valid Utah Driver's License and meet Motor Vehicle Policy requirements.
• May be required to obtain a CDL.
• Must work holidays, weekends, and rotating standby/on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Operate lawn mowing equipment and assist in pruning, planting, and turf management.
• Perform general landscape, building maintenance, and repair tasks per supervisor guidance.
• Oversee maintenance of playgrounds, restrooms, and outdoor facilities; ensure safety and cleanliness.
