Job summary

City of Pueblo is seeking a seasonal Parks Caretaker/Maintenance worker to assist with maintenance of parks, grounds, buildings, fields, and pools. The position is non-exempt and limited to 1,300 hours per year, with supervision by Parks staff and potential independent work or crew leadership.

Responsibilities include grass cutting, tool operation, basic painting, and pool facility maintenance. Applicants must be 18+, eligible to work in the U.S., and able to pass background and drug screenings.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States of America.
• Must submit to and pass a pre-employment background check.
• Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Performs work independently and may lead a crew of seasonal workers.
• Exerts physical effort outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Operates light vehicles and common hand/power tools.
• Cuts grass and maintains ball fields and pools.
• Performs painting and general maintenance of aquatic facilities.
• Monitors and handles pool chemicals under supervision.
