Job summary

City of Raleigh seeks a seasoned Construction Management leader to direct the Construction Management 2 Parks Division within the Engineering Services Department. You will oversee design and construction of parks facilities, community centers, greenways and related projects, coordinating with Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources and other city entities.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field and 5–7 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience managing design and construction of parks facilities or public works projects.
• Strong project management, budgeting, and interdepartmental coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop Construction Management 2 Parks Division staff, including performance evaluations and hiring procedures.
• Oversee budgets, capital projects, procurement, and administrative reporting for the division.
• Serve as liaison with other departments, City management, council, commissions and the public to coordinate operations and design/construction issues.
• Provide strategic guidance on design, construction standards, policies, and regulatory compliance.
